Autonomous aerial awareness for schools and private property

SafeShield launches an aircraft from an on-site dock when something triggers outside a school or facility, flies it to a position surveyed and approved before installation, and streams video to the person responsible for acting on it.

What happens when something triggers

THE SEQUENCE

Something triggers outside

A forced door, a fence breach, a person in a restricted zone, a staff alert, or a call for a closer look. Triggers run on the cameras a site already has.

An aircraft launches from a dock on the property

Automatically. No one has to be watching a monitor for it to happen, and no one has to fly it.

It flies itself to an approved position

The system decides which commissioned position answers the event and how to frame it there, along a route approved before installation. It does not improvise new ones.

Video reaches a named person

A specific recipient, with a 60-second acknowledgment window and automatic escalation if no one responds.

Who holds the authority

The aircraft is autonomous once a trigger fires. The authority over the flight is not.

At a school, flight is under the operating authority of a partner law enforcement agency through its Drone as First Responder program, which means responding officers have eyes on a situation before they arrive. They are already in the loop, because the launch is their deployment.

At a private site, flight is under the operating authority of a contracted BVLOS operator, and the video goes to your designated recipient. Most alarms are false, and departments increasingly will not respond without verification. SafeShield turns an unverified alarm into a verified one, so a person on your team sees what is actually happening before deciding whether to call anyone. We never dispatch police on a property event without a human deciding to.

Whoever holds that authority supervises the flight and can take control at any point.

What it will not do

THE COMMITMENTS

Autonomy with a boundary

The system chooses among positions surveyed and commissioned at install. It cannot add a position, frame anything outside what was approved, or cross the property boundary. Autonomy here means choosing among known vantage points, never finding new ones.

No identification of individuals

The system does not identify individuals, and it never will. That is not a setting that can be turned on.

The site controls the recording

Video streams to storage the site controls, under the site’s own retention policy. SafeShield keeps no archive.

Observation, not intervention

The aircraft does not intervene, pursue, or deter physically. It answers the question of what is actually happening.

SafeShield is in development

We are looking for a district and agency pair to build the first deployment with. If you are a district safety director, a law enforcement agency running or considering a DFR program, or a facility operator, we would like to talk.
